Template notice: this policy is a starting point for a small service business and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before relying on it, especially if you serve the EU/UK or California.
1. Who we are
Tim's SEO Lab ("we", "us") is an independent web design and search marketing studio serving small businesses, operated by Tim Moon. Contact: [email protected] · +852 59852102.
2. What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, email, phone number, business name, and website when you submit a form or email us.
- Project information — access credentials you authorize (via least-privilege roles), analytics data, and materials needed to deliver services you hired us for.
- Basic usage data — standard, non-identifying analytics collected via Google Analytics 4 on this site (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
3. How we use it
We use your information to reply to inquiries, deliver contracted services, send the reports and invoices you expect, and — only with your explicit opt-in — send occasional lab notes. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone.
4. Client data and access
During engagements we work through least-privilege access (e.g., collaborator roles, delegated permissions). Your credentials, two-factor authentication, and payment details stay in your control. Access is revoked the same day an engagement ends, and on request we provide a full export of project data within a week.
5. Service providers we rely on
We use a short list of reputable processors: forms and site hosting (e.g., Netlify), email (a standard business email provider), analytics (Google Analytics 4), and accounting tools. Each processes data only on our instructions and under its own security terms. We'll disclose the specific tools on request.
6. Your rights
You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you are in the EEA/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have additional statutory rights including objection and portability; we will honor applicable requests within statutory timeframes.
7. How long we keep things
Inquiry data is kept up to 24 months unless you become a client. Client project records are retained for the duration of the engagement plus 24 months for warranty and tax purposes, then deleted on request or per that schedule — whichever you prefer.
8. Changes and contact
If we change this policy materially, we'll note the new effective date here and, for active clients, notify you directly. Questions, requests, or complaints: [email protected].
